Brown sugar shochu is only allowed to be produced in the Amami Islands. Nishidaira Shuzo’s brown sugar shochu is a combination of the island’s traditions passed down from generation to generation and the challenge of brewing a new type of shochu using music. There is a music studio in the cellar, and after the tour, visitors can enjoy a live shima-uta performance with a glass of shochu in hand.

■Observe the production process of genuine Amami-Oshima Tsumugi at Oshima Tsumugi Village
The weaving factory of Amami-Oshima Tsumugi, a traditional craft of Amami Oshima Island, is located in the village, and you can observe the production process while walking through the tropical subtropical garden.
